TASTE OF COUNTRY BBQ NATIONALS

$12,500 in Cash Prizes. Great BBQ. Family Fun.

Los Angeles, Ca. (May 23, 2011) Townsquare Live Entertainment has announced the debut of Taste of Country BBQ Nationals, a BBQ Competition featuring teams of pitmasters, food, music and family fun. The first event is scheduled for Amarillo Texas, on May 27 and 28.

The TOC competition will consist of ten events throughout the U.S., beginning in Amarillo and continuing during the summer and into the fall. It will travel to cities all over the country including Detroit, Buffalo, Albany, Shreveport, Philadelphia, San Diego, and the Championship in Laughlin, with more events planned.

The competition will have teams of pitmasters from the given area in competition for $12,500 in prize money plus trophies and prizes. The winners will get the chance to participate in the Taste of Country BBQ Nationals Championship in Laughlin, NV on Oct. 22, 2011 where the first “Taste of Country National BBQ Champion” will be crowned. Teams can register for the competition and pay their entrance fees here: https://missinginkshop.com/bbqnationals/store.

Surrounding the competition is a family event with fun for everyone. Folks of all ages can enjoy world class BBQ, a picnic area and for age appropriate there is a beer garden, all in an ear shot of a stage featuring some of the best country and rock music there is to offer.

Ticket prices will vary from city to city but overall are set low.

Children under twelve are invited in to the event for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. There are even play areas with inflatables, face painting, carnival games and other fun features.

For true enthusiasts there will be a special VIP area with a seated/shaded section where catered BBQ and drinks will be available with a great view of the stage.

On the stage great country and rock music will be presented. In Amarillo for example, The Eli Young Band headlines the kick-off concert with Casey Donahew as special guest on Friday, May 27. On Saturday, May 28 excellent local talent including Flying Elbows, Casey Berry, Tommy Gallagher Band, Johnny Cash Tribute – Walkin’ the Line and other country and rock tribute bands will be featured.

“We are interested in giving folks a unique experience by combining delicious BBQ with great music and fun for the whole family,” according to Brian Rucker, Managing Director of Townsquare Live. “The teams are very serious about their cooking and the result is the best BBQ the region has to offer.”

Arlie Bragg, America’s premier BBQ Promoter and head competition coordinator for all Taste of Country events brings 20 plus years of BBQ competition experience to the table.  “Great BBQ, great entertainment, and professional-level production gives Taste of Country a fresh look at an old tradition.”, Arlie says.  I look forward to helping this series become THE premier BBQ competition series in America.”

Grandpa Read's Quiet Time Tales is a series of 12 one-hour DVDs for children ages 2–8. In each volume the character of Grandpa Read - played by actor Gary Sturm - reads five classic childrens stories and fairy tales aloud while accompanied by original illustrations commissioned for the project. Each DVD also contains a new original song, with all 13 songs featured on a Quiet Time Tales music CD.

The series, in the spirit of “Mister Rogers” and “Reading Rainbow,” was conceived and directed by R.A. Logan and produced by Terry Moore. According to the producers, their stated desire was to "create calming and soothing childrens entertainment which fires childrens’ imaginations and inspires a love of stories and story-telling, while providing guilt-free time for parents.”

Tour and Album Marketing - New York Dolls[L to R: Canadian actress Lisa Langlois, Mike Gormley, New York Dolls lead man David Johansen, Jolene Pellant]

The New York Dolls
finished up the spring leg of their North American tour in Toronto on June 30. YDE had the privilege of doing the marketing for the tour and Rhino's CD launch in May.

"Considering the current touring & economic climate, it's more important than ever to exploit all of the options available to promote the artist's tour. Working in tandem with management, the label and promoters, Yes Dear Entertainment worked outside the box to implementeffective marketing opportunities for our tour. Simply put, they helped our artist sell more tickets." creative and

 Jerrod Wilkins, Co-Manager-New York Dolls

Head of MarketingYDE served up its marketing expertise for the
Great American Food and Music Festival, held at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, Ca. on June 13. Jolene and Mike took on the task a mere 3 ½ weeks before the event. Subsequently 12,000 people showed up, way beyond the presenter's expectations. We have decided 11,000 of them were there because of YDE (well, maybe).

"It is as simple as this.  Before Jolene and Mike were involved, our marketing was in trouble.  As soon as they came onboard, everything was straightened out immediately.  Our whole team noticed...and commented.  It was actually in our production manager's show recap  I should have had them on from day-one and will never make that mistake again."
